Why Dentistry is Still Worth it in 2026: A Path to an Uncompromised Life
Presented by Dr. Andrew Ballard, on May 29 2026, at 12:00pm CST
Rethink Your Practice, Reclaim Your Life - Create an uncompromised life through intentional case selection and a new approach to patient care.
Most dentists enter the profession with a vision of freedom, creativity, and impact—only to find themselves trapped in high-volume systems, insurance constraints, and burnout. This webinar explores a different path.
Dr. Drew Ballard shares how shifting from a production-driven mindset to a niche approach can transform not only your clinical outcomes, but your entire life. By rethinking how you deliver care—through intentional case selection, composite artistry, and patient experience—you can build a practice that aligns with your values, restores your passion, and creates true autonomy.
This isn’t about doing more dentistry. It’s about doing dentistry differently—and living an uncompromised life because of it.
By the end of this webinar, you will be able to:
- Identify the key factors that lead to burnout in traditional dental practice models and how they limit both clinical fulfillment and lifestyle freedom.
- Understand the philosophy of a “life design” approach to dentistry, focusing on intentional treatment planning, patient connection, and long-term value over volume.
- Recognize how direct composite techniques can support a more flexible, profitable, and patient-centered practice model, reducing dependence on insurance-driven workflows.
- Evaluate strategies for transitioning toward a more aligned practice model, including case selection, patient communication, and service positioning.
- Define what an “uncompromised life” looks like personally and professionally, and outline actionable steps to begin building a practice that supports it.
Andrew Ballard, DDS
Dr. Ballard graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2007. Following graduation, he served as a dental officer at Walter Reed Army Hospital, where he played a vital role in the facial reconstruction of wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the psychological impact of facial aesthetics, Dr. Ballard spent two additional years in mentorship in South Korea, making cosmetic dentistry his focal point.
From 2017-2019, Dr. Ballard embarked on a global educational tour, visiting over 20 countries to learn from leading cosmetic dentists. This experience led to the development of a new direct and completely non-invasive veneer system, now known as HALO™ veneers. Dr. Ballard has shared his expertise by lecturing on the use of HALO veneers nationally and internationally. Currently practicing in Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Ballard remains at the forefront of innovative and patient-friendly cosmetic dentistry.
